Kerajaan Wujud Konsortium Pertanian Dikenali Synergy Perdana

PUTRAJAYA, 24 Feb (Bernama) -- Kerajaan hari ini mengumumkan penubuhan konsortium pertanian melibatkan kerjasama strategik di antara tiga agensi peladangan negara - Felda, Risda dan Felcra Berhad - yang akan dikenali sebagai Synergy Perdana.

Menteri Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal berkata konsortium yang mempunyai modal berbayar sebanyak RM300 juta itu, akan mampu mewujudkan sinergi perniagaan bagi mencapai ekonomi berskala besar supaya mampu bersaing di peringkat serantau dan antarabangsa.

"Penubuhan konsortium yang dinamakan Synergy Perdana ini ialah hasil cetusan idea daripada Perdana Menteri bagi membolehkan pelaksanaan pelbagai projek oleh ketiga-tiga agensi ini secara perkongsian," katanya.

The last time I wrote something on this merging was somewhere in Jan 2010 (baca http://2009capri.blogspot.com/2010/01/battelle-merge-prof-riedle.html) whether PETRONAS should merge with other Energy company in the future? Everyone talks about merging nowadays. I believe even under our Education Division, we should capitalize ones strength to move forward. For example INSTEP and PERMATA or even ALAM for that matter should collaborate with us, riding on our strength and vice versa. Take MIT-Sloan for an example (baca http://mitsloan.mit.edu/). The MIT Sloan School of Management, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is one of the world’s leading business schools. Established in 1914 as an Economic and Statistics faculty of MIT, they try to applied the theory of today’s management into practice, via an independent School of Management. Now they are considered as the best in the industry for providing management training course.

RIDING

PERMATA for instant might be able to offer Master in Management with UTP as the main provider of course content (macam franchise laa as only University can offer PG programmes). INSTEP might be able to become the provider of our foundation students, so that we do not have to be ’busy’ managing the fundamental sciences (as we wanted to concentrate more on research). At the same time, we can benefit from this collaboration by expanding our market.
