Arghhh...

There he was standing so cool at the rostrum. At first I thought of giving myself few minutes to hear his story. Five minutes become ten. Ten become half an hour and eventually I found myself stood standing until the end. I must say he is full of inspiration. Might not be a good speaker but the inputs that matter. Three things that always came out from him;

a) Dreams is possible therefore dream hard. He was so inspired to be an astronaut since the age of 10. He never stops dreaming since then.

b) Never give up therefore do not stop until the end. His father once said there will be no rooms for him back home if he comes back from Moscow empty handed. His mother…well she lost 15 kilos i.e. a kilo daily for the whole Sheikh's two weeks journey in space.

c) His idols no other than Tun Dr M & Nelson Mandela.

He also shared on the technical part of the journey i.e from how to have breakfast, sleep in 0 gravity to regularly tie his leg just for peeing and shitting. Sinonimnya he was the last few of total 11, 275 Malaysian who registered for the program and finally selected from the last four after completing 18 months of training, physically, mentally and emotionally, in Kosmodrom Baikonur, Kazakhstan.

QUESTIONS

He took up few questions from the audience and answered it so confidently. However, the stood still for few second to answer the last question that came from a primary student. The question was when will he get married? He confirmed 10th of October, 2010 as the big day.

I answered couple of questions myself too. Firstly he is no gay!! (baca http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Sheikh_Muszaphar_Shukor) and the space journey was not a waste to the nation (baca Micheal Backman, The Edge Melbourne, Nov 2006 who wrote “…That's not Malaysia "boleh", that's Malaysia "bodoh" (stupid), as its objective of inspiring Malaysian is met.

WHO IS THIS MAN?

Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie bin Sheikh Mustapha (born July 27, 1972) is the first Angkasawan to go into space (duration of exactly 10 days, 21 hours and 14 minutes) when he is launched to the International Space Station aboard Soyuz TMA-11 in 10 October 2007.

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar obtained his high school education at Maktab Rendah Sains MARA in Muar. He then pursued his MBBS medical degree at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and continues with Master of Science Degree in Orthopedic Surgery from UKM.
